Boeing 757-223, serial number 28174, entered service with North American Airlines as N752NA. The aircraft operated charter and military transport flights for the airline, supporting government, troop transport, and contract missions across the United States, Europe, and the Middle East. Configured with a high density passenger cabin, the 757-200 offered long range capability and strong reliability for extended charter operations. Powered by Rolls Royce RB211 engines, it provided efficient performance and operational flexibility. N752NA became a familiar aircraft within North American Airlines' fleet before the carrier eventually ceased operations.
Designed as a narrow-bodied, twin-engined airliner to replace the 727, the 757 was first flown on February 19th, 1982. Developed in tandem with the wide-bodied 767 twinjet, both aircraft share a common digital cockpit layout and are operated by a two man flight crew. Thanks to a proven reliability track-record, the 757 is approved for extended twin engine operations (ETOPS) making it a popular choice for airlines flying transatlantic routes. A total of 1050 aircraft were built before production ceased in 2004, however many airframes have since been retrofitted with drag-reducing blended winglets to help improve fuel economy. © Copyright 2003-2026 The Flying Mule, Inc.
