De Havilland Canada DHC-6-300 Twin Otter, serial number 666, operated by Loganair as G-BVVK and named "Spirit of Eilidh." Built in 1980, it was delivered new to Wideroe as LN-BEZ on February 14, 1980 and spent nearly 15 years operating in Norway. Acquired for Loganair in December 1994, it entered British service wearing British Airways Express colors as part of Loganair's franchise operation. G-BVVK subsequently became a familiar sight on Scotland's remote island services, including the famous beach runway at Barra. Remarkably, the veteran Twin Otter remains active in 2026, operating routes from Glasgow to Barra, Tiree and Campbeltown more than 46 years after it was built.
