Boeing 767-432ER, serial number 29772, entered service with Delta Air Lines as N845MH. The aircraft joined Delta's fleet as part of the airline's order for the stretched Boeing 767-400ER, a type operated exclusively by Delta in passenger service following its merger with Northwest Airlines. Configured with Delta One, Delta Comfort+, and Main Cabin seating, N845MH primarily serves transcontinental and international routes to Europe, South America, and the Caribbean. Powered by two General Electric CF6-80C2B8F engines, the aircraft combines excellent range with passenger comfort and continues to play an important role in Delta's widebody fleet. Designed as a wide-bodied, twin-engined airliner to fill the niche between the narrow-bodied 707 and wide-bodied 747, the 767 was first flown on September 26th, 1981. Developed in tandem with the narrow-bodied 757 twinjet, both aircraft share a common digital cockpit layout and are operated by a two man flight crew. Thanks to a proven reliability track-record, the 767 is approved for extended twin engine operations (ETOPS) making it a popular choice for airlines flying transatlantic routes.
