Airbus A380-841, serial number 070, operated by Lufthansa as D-AIMH. Delivered new on July 7, 2011 and originally named "New York," the Rolls-Royce Trent 970-powered aircraft became part of Lufthansa's flagship long-haul fleet. D-AIMH was grounded in March 2020 and subsequently stored at Frankfurt and Teruel, Spain, remaining out of service for more than four years. Lufthansa returned it to commercial service on July 7, 2024. In February 2026, D-AIMH received a striking special livery celebrating Lufthansa's 100th anniversary. Based at Munich, it remains active in 2026 on routes including Boston and Washington Dulles.
Designed as the world's largest airliner, the double-decker A380 was first flown on April 27th, 2005. © Copyright 2003-2026 The Flying Mule, Inc.
