Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner, serial number 66429, was delivered to Hawaiian Airlines as N781HA in February 2024. Named Kapuahi, it is the first of 12 787-9s Hawaiian has on order to modernize its long-haul fleet. The aircraft is powered by GE GEnx-1B74/75 engines, offering improved fuel efficiency, reduced emissions, and quieter operations. N781HA entered service on April 15, 2024, flying Honolulu - San Francisco, and primarily serves high-demand domestic and inter-island routes, as well as select international flights to North America and Asia. Its introduction marks a major upgrade in passenger comfort, operational efficiency, and Hawaiian Airlines' fleet modernization program.
