Embraer E145EP, construction number 145091, was delivered to Mexicana as XA-MBR in 2004 as part of the airline's regional jet expansion. The aircraft operated short- and medium-haul routes within Mexico and to nearby international destinations, including the United States and Central America. XA-MBR was configured with 50 seats and offered a pressurized cabin for passenger comfort. It wore Mexicana's classic red, white, and gray livery and contributed to the airline's efforts to improve frequency and connectivity on regional sectors. Following Mexicana's financial difficulties and eventual cessation of operations in 2010, XA-MBR was retired or sold to secondary operators.
Designed as a short-range, small-capacity regional airliner, the Embraer ERJ 145 was first flown on August 11th, 1995. © Copyright 2003-2026 The Flying Mule, Inc.
