The aircraft joined Aeromexico's modern narrowbody fleet and operates domestic and international routes throughout North America, Central America, and the Caribbean. Configured with Clase Premier and economy seating, the 737 MAX 9 provides passengers with modern cabin amenities and improved comfort. Powered by CFM International LEAP-1B engines, the aircraft offers excellent fuel efficiency, reduced emissions, and lower operating costs. N804AM supports Aeromexico's fleet modernization program and expanding route network.

The Boeing 737 MAX is an American narrow-body aircraft series being developed by Boeing Commercial Airplanes as the fourth generation of the Boeing 737, succeeding the Boeing 737 Next Generation. The first flight was on January 29, 2016. The 737 MAX is based on earlier 737 designs but re-engined with more efficient CFM International LEAP-1B along with aerodynamic improvements, most notably split-tip winglets, and airframe modifications.
