Boeing 717-231, serial number 55079, entered service with MexicanaClick as N907ME. The aircraft joined MexicanaClick's fleet following the carrier's transition from regional jet operations to larger narrowbody aircraft. Operating domestic routes throughout Mexico, the 717-200 provided efficient service between major cities and regional destinations. Configured with a single class passenger cabin, the aircraft offered reliable short and medium haul performance. Powered by Rolls Royce BR715 engines, N907ME supported MexicanaClick's low cost operations prior to the closure of the Mexicana group in 2010.
