Boeing 717-200, serial number 55010, was delivered to AirTran Airways as N947AT in 1999. It later joined Delta as part of the large 717 fleet acquired during AirTran's phase-out. Featuring a 110-seat layout with 12 First Class seats, the aircraft became a workhorse for short-haul routes across the Southeast and Midwest, especially from Atlanta. Powered by efficient BR715 engines, it offered quiet operations and quick turnarounds ideal for high-frequency schedules. N947AT has served reliably for years, including a minor bird-strike diversion in 2020. Today it continues flying daily domestic legs, helping replace Delta's retired DC-9 and MD-88/90 fleets.
Please note: An optional display stand is available separately if you wish to display this model "in-flight".
