Boeing 757-351, construction number 32994, was delivered to Northwest Airlines as N595NW in 2002 as part of its stretched 757-300 fleet. The aircraft operated high density domestic routes across the United States, connecting hubs such as Minneapolis, Detroit, and Honolulu services. After the 2008 merger between Northwest and Delta Air Lines, N595NW was transferred into Delta's fleet and repainted in Delta's colors. Configured with first class, Comfort Plus, and economy seating, the aircraft became a reliable workhorse on busy domestic routes. Powered by Pratt and Whitney PW2040 engines, N595NW continues serving Delta's network, offering high capacity narrowbody operations on major U.S. routes.
Please note: An optional display stand is available separately if you wish to display this model "in-flight".
Designed as a narrow-bodied, twin-engined airliner to replace the 727, the 757 was first flown on February 19th, 1982. Developed in tandem with the wide-bodied 767 twinjet, both aircraft share a common digital cockpit layout and are operated by a two man flight crew. Thanks to a proven reliability track-record, the 757 is approved for extended twin engine operations (ETOPS) making it a popular choice for airlines flying transatlantic routes. A total of 1050 aircraft were built before production ceased in 2004, however many airframes have since been retrofitted with drag-reducing blended winglets to help improve fuel economy. © Copyright 2003-2026 The Flying Mule, Inc.
