Boeing 747-830, manufacturer serial number 37838, registered D-ABYN and named "Niedersachsen," flies for Lufthansa wearing the 100 Years livery applied at San Bernardino, California, in March 2026 to mark a century since the airline's January 6, 1926, founding. Painted in dark blue with an oversized crane logo, it was the sixth aircraft in the centennial scheme, after an A380, two A320neos, an A350, and a 787-9. D-ABYN re-entered service on Lufthansa's Frankfurt to Los Angeles route on March 6, 2026, and a further aircraft, an A350-1000, is expected to complete the group later that year.
