Airbus A330-200, registered EI-DAA, flies for Aer Lingus on the airline's transatlantic routes, with flight records showing it on the Dublin to Denver service in June 2025. Aer Lingus, founded in 1936 and now part of International Airlines Group, uses its A330s to connect Dublin with a wide range of North American cities, taking advantage of Ireland's position as a natural stopping place between Europe and the United States. Spotters noted that EI-DAA carried Aer Lingus titles on its belly, an unusual detail that set it apart from the other aircraft in the fleet at the time.
Please note: An optional display stand is available separately if you wish to display this model "in-flight".
Designed as a wide-bodied, long-haul passenger transport to compete with the Boeing 767, the A330 was first flown on November 2nd, 1992. It was designed as a lengthened version of the A300 and was developed in parallel with the larger, four-engined A340, enabling many of the components to be shared between the three types. The A330 also uses the same fly-by-wire technology that was introduced with the A320, featuring a glass cockpit and side-stick controllers. The A330 has the same range and payload capacity as a DC-10 with 25% greater fuel efficiency. © Copyright 2003-2026 The Flying Mule, Inc.
