McDonnell Douglas MD-11F, registered N281UP, flies for UPS Airlines as part of the carrier's substantial fleet of MD-11 freighters supporting the company's global express cargo network from its Louisville, Kentucky superhub. UPS became a major MD-11 operator starting in 1991, eventually building one of the largest fleets of the type anywhere, alongside FedEx and Western Global Airlines as the three main remaining commercial operators of the trijet freighter. Following a fatal November 2025 crash of a UPS MD-11F at Louisville, the carrier moved to retire its remaining MD-11 fleet entirely, ending more than three decades of MD-11 cargo operations and closing out one of the last chapters of McDonnell Douglas widebody trijets in scheduled commercial service anywhere in the world.
Please note: An optional display stand is available separately if you wish to display this model "in-flight".
