The Antonov AN-12 is the counterpart of the American C-130 Hercules. About 1250 airplanes were manufactured, several of them also in China under license. Our original belongs to the 535st air regiment with base in Rostov-on-Don, in Russia’s south-west.
Please note: Unlike other models in the Herpa Wings Series, this model is 100% plastic, with no diecast metal used in its construction. The painting and markings are applied with the same precision as other models in the line however, so this model still looks perfectly at home in any diecast collection, albeit at a much lighter weight.
