Reliably in service since 1973 until today, some IL-76s are also used by the 610th Combat and Conversion Training Center. To honor Air Marshal Skripko, commander of the transport fleet under Khrushchev, one plane received his name and the unit’s crest of arms.
Designed as a successor to the Antanov An-12, the Il-76 was first flown on March 25th, 1971. © Copyright 2003-2025 The Flying Mule, Inc.
