Fokker F27 ZK-NFH was originally built as C/N 10609 with the first flight on January 26, 1981. The first civil registration assigned was ZK-NFG but that wasn’t used however ZK-NFH was. The aircraft was delivered to Air New Zealand on March 28, 1981 and given the fleet name Kahu (Maori - Harrier Hawk). In April 1992 Merpati Nusantara Airlines from Indonesia purchased the aircraft as PK-MFL and converted it for freight. On March 26, 2001 the aircraft was written off when it crashed during pilot training.
Designed as a pressurized, turboprop medium-range airliner, the F27 was first flown on November 24th, 1955. © Copyright 2003-2025 The Flying Mule, Inc.
