McDonnell Douglas MD-11 c/n 48559 line number 575 was manufactured in October 1994 and tested using the registration N91566. On November 18, 1994 the aircraft was delivered to KLM registered as PH-KCE and named "Audrey Hepburn". The aircraft is equipped with 3 GE CF6-80C2D1F engines and wears the fleet number CE-005. This aircraft is still in service but by the end of 2013 all KLM MD-11s will either be sold or sent to Victorville in the U.S. desert for storage.
Please note: Unlike other models in the Hobby Master Airliner Series, this model features diecast metal wings with a plastic fuselage containing a metal insert to add weight. The painting and markings are applied with the same precision as other models in the line however, so this model still looks perfectly at home in any diecast collection.
Designed as a wide-bodied passenger and freight transport, the MD11 was first flown on January 10th, 1990. © Copyright 2003-2024 The Flying Mule, Inc.
