Air France L-1049G-82-98 msn 4623 was delivered on August 24, 1955 and entered service on September 11, 1955. Air France and Aeroflot signed an operating agreement that allowed each airline to make twice weekly flights between Paris and Moscow. On August 3, 1958 Air France made the first non-stop passenger flight between the two cities. The flight took six hours since they no longer had to stop in Prague. The aircraft was Lockheed L-1049G F-BHBD piloted by Captain Damour. In 1967 F-BDBH was withdrawn from service and scrapped.
