Airbus A380-841, construction number 263, registered JA382A and nicknamed "Kai," was delivered to All Nippon Airways on May 15, 2019, as the second of ANA's three "Flying Honu" A380s dedicated to the Tokyo-Honolulu route, wearing a green turtle motif to distinguish it from sister aircraft JA381A (blue) and JA383A (orange). The Flying Honu route proved surprisingly successful prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, with ANA achieving a 49% year-on-year traffic gain and gaining parity with longtime market leader Japan Airlines on the popular Hawaii leisure route.
Designed as the world's largest airliner, the double-decker A380 was first flown on April 27th, 2005. © Copyright 2003-2026 The Flying Mule, Inc.
