Boeing 747-87UF, serial number 37566, entered service with Atlas Air as N862GT. The aircraft joined the airline's modern fleet of Boeing 747-8 freighters used for long haul cargo operations worldwide. Operating on behalf of Atlas Air and its ACMI customers, the aircraft transports containerized freight between major logistics hubs across North America, Europe, and Asia. Equipped with a nose cargo door and large main deck capacity, the 747-8F is capable of carrying heavy and oversized shipments. Powered by General Electric GEnx-2B67 engines, N862GT offers excellent payload capability, improved fuel efficiency, and extended range for global freight operations.
