BAC One-Eleven 401AK, serial number 041, entered service with USAir as N1547. The aircraft became part of USAir's early jet fleet and operated short haul routes across the eastern United States during the 1970s and 1980s. Configured with a single aisle passenger cabin, the One-Eleven provided reliable service on regional routes connecting cities such as Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, and Washington. Powered by Rolls Royce Spey engines, the aircraft offered strong performance and efficient operation for short distance sectors. N1547 supported USAir's expanding network before the airline eventually replaced the type with newer generation aircraft.
