Hawker Siddeley Trident 1E, manufacturer serial number 2137, registered G-AVYC, was delivered new to BKS Air Transport in April 1969 before the airline rebranded as Northeast Airlines in November 1970, with the aircraft wearing both liveries though best remembered in Northeast's yellow scheme on domestic UK routes including Newcastle to London Heathrow. Following the March 1974 formation of British Airways from BEA, BOAC, Northeast, and Cambrian Airways, G-AVYC joined the combined carrier's fleet, flying for British Airways until its July 1980 withdrawal, and was ultimately broken up at Heathrow in May 1981 after an eleven-year career of just over a decade.
