Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner, serial number 34484, entered service with All Nippon Airways as JA801A. The aircraft holds a historic place in aviation as the first Boeing 787 delivered to an airline. Delivered to ANA in 2011, it began commercial operations on domestic routes within Japan before later operating international services across Asia. Configured with business class and economy seating, the aircraft introduced passengers to the advanced technology of the Dreamliner including larger windows and improved cabin comfort. Powered by Rolls Royce Trent 1000 engines, JA801A marked the beginning of the global Boeing 787 era.
