Airbus A300-605R, registered N70074, flew for American Airlines as part of the carrier's fleet of A300-600s acquired starting in 1988 to serve Caribbean markets from American's Miami hub and other mainland gateways. American Airlines was a significant U.S. operator of the A300-600, using the type's widebody capacity for shorter international routes to the Caribbean and Latin America before the fleet's eventual retirement as American consolidated its widebody operations around Boeing 777s and other types.
Designed as a wide-bodied medium range transport, the A300 was first flown on July 8th, 1983. © Copyright 2003-2026 The Flying Mule, Inc.
