ATR 72-500(F), registered N967AZ, flies for Amazon Air as part of the e-commerce giant's fleet of converted ATR 72 turboprop freighters supporting regional package delivery to smaller markets that don't warrant larger narrowbody freighter service. Amazon Air, launched in 2015, contracts third-party carriers to operate its branded aircraft, with the smaller ATR 72 freighters complementing the company's larger 737 and 767 fleets by serving shorter regional routes and lower-volume markets within its expanding air logistics network.
