Embraer E190STD, manufacturer serial number 19000708, registered JA241J, was the first E190 delivered to J-Air, the wholly owned regional subsidiary of Japan Airlines, entering service in 2016 on the Osaka Itami to Kagoshima route as the first Japanese airline to operate the type. The aircraft debuted JAL's premium domestic "Class J" cabin service and the airline's newer Sky Next interior on the E190 platform, featuring 15 business-class and 80 economy seats, as J-Air expanded beyond its existing E170 fleet to strengthen JAL's regional network across Japan while bypassing the carrier's congested Tokyo hubs.
Designed as a medium-range, narrow-body, twin-jet, the Embraer ERJ 170 launched Embraer's "E-Jet" series and was first flown on February 19th, 2002. © Copyright 2003-2026 The Flying Mule, Inc.
