Boeing 747-2J6M, serial number 22079, entered service with CAAC as B-2448. The aircraft formed part of CAAC's fleet of Boeing 747-200 Combi aircraft used for mixed passenger and cargo operations. Operating long distance routes from China to international destinations, the aircraft helped expand the country's early intercontinental air services. Configured with passenger seating in the forward cabin and cargo space in the rear, the aircraft provided operational flexibility. Powered by Pratt and Whitney JT9D engines, B-2448 supported China's growing international aviation network.
