Airbus A300B4-622, serial number 361, operated by Korean Air as HL7280. Delivered new in 1987, HL7280 was Korean Air's first A300-600, formally introduced on August 16 of that year. The improved A300 brought a two-crew cockpit, updated systems and greater efficiency to Korean Air's regional widebody operation. After approximately 16 years carrying passengers, HL7280 was converted into an A300B4-622F freighter in 2003 and transferred to FedEx Express as N717FD. It enjoyed an extensive second career hauling express freight before being withdrawn at Victorville in 2021. The aircraft was finally scrapped there in 2023 after roughly 36 years.
Designed as a wide-bodied medium range transport, the A300 was first flown on July 8th, 1983. © Copyright 2003-2026 The Flying Mule, Inc.
