The Airbus A350F is the freighter member of the A350 family, developed specifically for the global air-cargo market. Based largely on A350-1000 technology, it combines a shortened fuselage with a large main-deck cargo door and extensive use of lightweight composite materials. The aircraft is powered by Rolls-Royce Trent XWB-97 engines and is designed to carry a maximum payload of approximately 111 tonnes. Airbus launched the program in 2021, targeting substantially lower fuel consumption and carbon emissions than previous-generation large freighters such as the Boeing 747-400F. The first A350F made its maiden flight in 2026, beginning the flight-test and certification program.
