Airbus A350-1041, operated by Ethiopian Airlines as ET-BAW. Built at Toulouse with test registration F-WWXL, the aircraft was delivered on November 5, 2024 and entered service two days later. ET-BAW was historically significant as Ethiopian Airlines' first A350-1000 and the first example of the stretched A350 variant operated by an African airline, carrying a special "1st A350-1000 in Africa" marking. On June 15, 2026, it suffered a right main landing gear fire after landing at Beijing Capital Airport. The aircraft was repaired quickly and returned to service on June 18, continuing Ethiopian's long-haul operations from Addis Ababa.
