Airbus A330-343, registered PK-GPV, flies for Garuda Indonesia wearing a "Hana TravelGo Card" promotional sticker advertising the carrier's travel and loyalty payment card product, matching sister aircraft PK-GPX in this cross-promotional livery campaign. As part of Garuda's substantial A330-300 fleet supporting domestic and regional international routes across the Indonesian archipelago, PK-GPV reflects the airline's practice of using aircraft liveries to promote ancillary financial and loyalty products alongside standard branding. Garuda Indonesia's A330 fleet forms a core part of the carrier's widebody operations connecting the Indonesian archipelago to destinations across Asia and Australia.
Designed as a wide-bodied, long-haul passenger transport to compete with the Boeing 767, the A330 was first flown on November 2nd, 1992. It was designed as a lengthened version of the A300 and was developed in parallel with the larger, four-engined A340, enabling many of the components to be shared between the three types. The A330 also uses the same fly-by-wire technology that was introduced with the A320, featuring a glass cockpit and side-stick controllers. The A330 has the same range and payload capacity as a DC-10 with 25% greater fuel efficiency. © Copyright 2003-2026 The Flying Mule, Inc.
