Boeing 777-FBT, registered D-ALFI, flies for Lufthansa Cargo wearing a "Cargo Human Care" sticker supporting the carrier's charitable initiative alongside its standard "Hola Mexico" destination-greeting livery, part of a series of liveries Lufthansa Cargo has applied across its 777 freighter fleet honoring key markets including Germany, Japan, Korea, and Mexico. As part of Lufthansa Cargo's fleet of modern 777Fs, D-ALFI supports the carrier's global logistics network from Frankfurt, connecting Germany to major cargo markets in Latin America. The Cargo Human Care sticker reflects Lufthansa Cargo's practice of using its aircraft to visibly promote humanitarian and charitable causes.
Designed as a wide-bodied, twin-engined airliner to compete with the Airbus A330/A340 and the McDonnell Douglas MD-11, the 777 was first flown on June 12th, 1994. A pair of the world's largest diameter turbofan engines power the aircraft which currently holds the record for world's largest twin-engined airliner. The 777 was Boeing's first fly-by-wire airliner, featuring complete glass cockpit displays and flight envelope protection.
