Boeing 777-FBT, registered D-ALFJ, flies for Lufthansa Cargo wearing a "Natural Beauty" special scheme, one of several distinctive liveries the carrier has applied across its 777 freighter fleet to promote environmental and brand messaging. As part of Lufthansa Cargo's fleet of 18 modern Boeing 777Fs, six of which are operated through the AeroLogic joint venture, D-ALFJ supports the carrier's global logistics network from its Frankfurt hub, connecting Germany to cargo markets across the world. Lufthansa Cargo's varied fleet liveries, from destination greetings to sustainability and beauty-themed schemes, reflect the airline's approach to visual branding across its freighter operations.
Designed as a wide-bodied, twin-engined airliner to compete with the Airbus A330/A340 and the McDonnell Douglas MD-11, the 777 was first flown on June 12th, 1994. A pair of the world's largest diameter turbofan engines power the aircraft which currently holds the record for world's largest twin-engined airliner. The 777 was Boeing's first fly-by-wire airliner, featuring complete glass cockpit displays and flight envelope protection.
