Boeing 747-100   7"   6"

Boeing 747-132, registered N9896 and named "Georgia Belle," was the first Boeing 747 delivered to Delta Air Lines, arriving in Atlanta on October 2, 1970, and entering scheduled service between Atlanta, Dallas, and Los Angeles later that month, complete with Delta's signature upper-deck "Penthouse" cocktail lounge. After Delta retired the aircraft in 1977, it went on to fly for China Airlines, Pan American, and finally Evergreen International Airlines. Today the historic aircraft is preserved atop the Wings and Waves Waterpark at the Evergreen Aviation & Space Museum in McMinnville, Oregon, having been lifted into place by crane in 2010.

Designed as a large capacity airliner and freight hauler, the 747 was first flown on February 9th, 1969.
