Airbus A330-323, serial number 1611, entered service with Korean Air as HL8025. The aircraft joined Korean Air's widebody fleet in the mid 2000s and operates regional and medium haul routes from Seoul Incheon to destinations across Asia. Configured with the airline's multi class cabin, it offers Prestige business class and economy seating along with modern inflight entertainment and passenger amenities. Powered by Rolls Royce Trent 700 engines, the A330-300 provides strong reliability, efficient fuel consumption, and excellent range for high demand regional services. HL8025 continues to support Korean Air's extensive Asian network while maintaining the airline's standards for comfort, efficiency, and dependable operations.
Designed as a wide-bodied, long-haul passenger transport to compete with the Boeing 767, the A330 was first flown on November 2nd, 1992. It was designed as a lengthened version of the A300 and was developed in parallel with the larger, four-engined A340, enabling many of the components to be shared between the three types. The A330 also uses the same fly-by-wire technology that was introduced with the A320, featuring a glass cockpit and side-stick controllers. The A330 has the same range and payload capacity as a DC-10 with 25% greater fuel efficiency. © Copyright 2003-2026 The Flying Mule, Inc.
