Airbus A300B4-203, registered VH-TAD, flew for Qantas as part of the Australian flag carrier's fleet of A300s supporting domestic Australian trunk routes and select regional international connections. Qantas operated the A300 as a widebody option for its busier domestic routes during the 1980s before the type's eventual retirement in favor of the carrier's growing 767 and 737 fleets, representing a comparatively brief chapter in Qantas's otherwise predominantly Boeing-focused widebody history.
Designed as a wide-bodied medium range transport, the A300 was first flown on July 8th, 1983. © Copyright 2003-2026 The Flying Mule, Inc.
