Tupolev Tu-154M, registered RA-85694, flew for KrasAir (Krasnoyarsk Airlines), a major Siberian Russian carrier that operated a substantial fleet of Tu-154s supporting domestic Russian routes across the vast Siberian region before the airline's operations were absorbed into AiRUnion and later ceased amid financial difficulties in the mid-2000s. As part of KrasAir's historic Tu-154 fleet, RA-85694 supported the airline's role connecting Siberian cities across some of the most remote and challenging operating environments in Russian commercial aviation, reflecting the Tu-154's enduring importance to Russia's vast domestic route network.
Designed as an enlarged version of the Tu-134 to replace the Il-18 and Tu-104, the Tu-154 was first flown on October 4th, 1968. © Copyright 2003-2026 The Flying Mule, Inc.
