Airbus A340-313, registered G-VFLY, flew for Virgin Atlantic Airways as part of the British long-haul carrier's fleet of A340-300s supporting transatlantic and other long-haul international routes from London. Virgin Atlantic operated a substantial A340 fleet for years as a core part of its widebody operations before transitioning toward Boeing 787 Dreamliners and Airbus A350s as part of the airline's fleet modernization. As part of this historic fleet, G-VFLY supported Virgin Atlantic's transatlantic network connecting London to major North American gateway cities during the airline's earlier fleet generation.
