McDonnell Douglas MD-11F, registered PP-VTJ, flew for Varig Log, the cargo division of Brazil's VARIG, as part of the carrier's fleet of MD-11 freighters supporting international cargo operations connecting Brazil to logistics markets across the Americas and beyond. Varig Log operated as a distinct cargo-focused entity within the broader VARIG corporate structure before VARIG's financial difficulties and 2006 bankruptcy reorganization ultimately affected both the passenger and cargo divisions of Brazil's storied flag carrier.
