Boeing 747-4D7, registered HS-TGA, flew for Thai Airways International as part of the flag carrier's substantial fleet of 747-400s that formed the backbone of Thai's long-haul operations for decades. Thai received its first 747-400 in 1990 to mark the airline's 30th anniversary, and the type represented Thai Airways at the founding of the Star Alliance in 1997. As part of this historic fleet, HS-TGA supported Thai's long-haul international network connecting Bangkok to destinations across Europe, Asia, Australia, and North America before the type's eventual retirement in favor of more fuel-efficient twin-engine widebodies.
Designed as a large capacity airliner and freight hauler, the 747 was first flown on February 9th, 1969. © Copyright 2003-2026 The Flying Mule, Inc.
