The VPK-7829 Bumerang is a modular amphibious wheeled infantry fighting vehicle and armored personnel carrier being developed by Russian Military Industrial Company (MIC) for the Russian army. MIC claims it "will be nothing like any of the modern APCs." The Bumerang vehicle will be based on Armata Universal Combat Platform. It will be amphibious and be able to negotiate and overcome water obstacles using two waterjets. In a departure with the previous BTR (Like BTR-70) series of vehicles, the engine will be located in the front instead of the rear.

The Panzerkampf 1:72 scale VPK-7829 Bumerang recreates Russia's modern 8x8 armored vehicle in both K-16 APC and K-17 IFV configurations. The K-16 features a smaller remote weapon station with heavy machine gun, while the K-17 carries the larger Bumerang-BM turret with 30mm autocannon and four externally mounted Kornet anti-tank missiles. Functional features include a rotating weapon station, elevating gun, opening rear troop doors and access panels, and freely rolling steerable wheels. Die-cast metal and plastic construction is complemented by detailed armor panels, hatches, antennas, suspension, tires, sensors, missile launchers and exterior equipment, giving both versions excellent display flexibility.
