The ARTEC Boxer Ambulance is a protected battlefield ambulance based on the modular Boxer 8x8 armored vehicle developed by ARTEC, a joint venture between Rheinmetall and KNDS. Designed to evacuate wounded personnel from front-line combat zones, it combines high levels of ballistic and mine protection with excellent cross-country mobility. The spacious mission module can accommodate multiple stretcher and seated casualties while providing room for medical personnel to administer lifesaving treatment during transport. Equipped with advanced communications and climate-control systems, the Boxer Ambulance enables rapid casualty evacuation under hostile conditions. It is operated by several European armed forces and supports a wide range of military medical missions.

Major variations include the standard armored personnel carrier with remote weapon station, command vehicle with additional communications equipment, ambulance with its distinctive raised-roof medical module, and specialized mission configurations. The Boxer's modular design allows different mission bodies to be fitted to the common eight-wheel drive platform, creating noticeably different profiles while retaining the characteristic armored cab and chassis.
