The Dassault Mirage 2000 is a French multirole, single-engine fourth-generation jet fighter manufactured by Dassault Aviation. It was designed in the late 1970s as a lightweight fighter to replace the Mirage III for the French Air Force (Armee de l'air). The Mirage 2000 evolved into a multirole aircraft with several variants developed, with sales to a number of nations.
Designed as a lightweight fighter for the French Air Force, the Dassault Mirage 2000 was first flown on March 10th, 1978. The Mirage 2000 is a fourth generation fighter based on the Mirage III. It has a delta wing, one engine, a dual-intake, and can carry a range of air-to-surface weapons, including laser-guided bombs. Variants include a single-seat or dual-seat version. The dual-seat 2000N is nuclear strike capable, armed with nuclear weapons and equipped with navigation avionics that are capable of handling air-to-ground munitions. The Mirage 2000C is a single-seat, all weather interceptor armed with high firing rate 30mm guns. © Copyright 2003-2026 The Flying Mule, Inc.
The Panzerkampf 1:72 scale Mirage 2000 family recreates several versions of the distinctive French delta-wing fighter, including the Mirage 2000C, 2000-5, 2000B, 2000D and 2000N. The mold captures the large delta wing, single engine, side intakes and compact fuselage, with single-seat and noticeably longer two-seat cockpit configurations. Display features include interchangeable extended or retracted landing gear with rotating wheels and an installable weapons load specific to each release. Selected versions also feature opening canopies. Detailed cockpits, engine exhaust, air intakes, antennas, pylons and finely reproduced surface features complete this versatile family of Mirage 2000 models.
