The Chengdu J-10C is an advanced single engine multirole fighter that entered service with the People's Liberation Army Air Force (PLAAF) in 2018. Developed from the earlier J-10A and J-10B, the J-10C features a canard delta configuration, modern avionics, an AESA radar, datalinks, and improved electronic warfare capabilities. Later production aircraft are powered by the Chinese WS-10B engine. The fighter can perform air superiority, interception, and precision strike missions. Its principal air to air weapons include the short range PL-10 and long range PL-15, giving the J-10C a formidable beyond visual range combat capability.
