F-WWDD is one of Airbus's most famous A380s, serving as a key early test aircraft during the superjumbo's development program. Built in 2005 as the second A380 prototype (MSN 004), it conducted extensive flight-test work covering cabin systems, long-range performance, and route-proving trials. Painted in Airbus house colors, it was frequently seen at major airshows, including its high-profile debut at the 2005 Paris Air Show. After completing thousands of test hours, F-WWDD was retired from active trials and later preserved at the Musée de l'Air et de l'Espace in Paris–Le Bourget, where it remains a highlight for visitors.
Designed as the world's largest airliner, the double-decker A380 was first flown on April 27th, 2005. © Copyright 2003-2025 The Flying Mule, Inc.
