Boeing 747-428, construction number 25858, was delivered to Air France as F-GITH in 1993. The aircraft served as part of the airline's long haul fleet, operating intercontinental routes from Paris Charles de Gaulle to destinations across North America, Asia, Africa, and the Middle East. F-GITH featured Air France's updated 747-400 cabin with first, business, premium economy, and economy seating, along with modern inflight entertainment. Powered by four high-bypass turbofan engines, it provided reliable, high-capacity service for decades. As Air France gradually retired its 747-400 fleet in favor of more fuel efficient widebodies, F-GITH was withdrawn from service, marking the end of its operational career.
Designed as a large capacity airliner and freight hauler, the 747 was first flown on February 9th, 1969. © Copyright 2003-2026 The Flying Mule, Inc.
