Boeing 747-8I, construction number 61542, registered as N6067E, was built as a test and development aircraft for the 747-8 program. It first flew in 2011 and participated in extensive certification flights, evaluating the stretched airframe, new GEn GEnx-2B67 engines, and upgraded systems for passenger operations. N6067E carried Boeing house colors and was used for aerodynamic testing, performance validation, and noise and fuel efficiency trials. It also performed demonstration flights for customers and regulatory authorities. After completing its primary test and certification role, N6067E continued in a support capacity, helping refine operational procedures and crew training for the 747-8 Intercontinental fleet.
