McDonnell Douglas MD-11, construction number 48559, was delivered to KLM in 1995 as PH-KCD and named "Florence". It served across KLM's long-haul network, flying routes to North America, the Caribbean, Africa, and Asia. PH-KCD carried KLM's classic blue and white livery and featured the airline's standard three-class layout. The aircraft became well known for its reliability and the MD-11's distinctive trijet design, making it a favorite among crews and aviation fans. When KLM retired its MD-11 fleet in 2014, PH-KCD flew some of the final passenger services. It was later withdrawn from use and eventually parted out.
Designed as a wide-bodied passenger and freight transport, the MD11 was first flown on January 10th, 1990. © Copyright 2003-2026 The Flying Mule, Inc.
