Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner, construction number 66015, was registered as N1015B and painted in Boeing's special "Dreams Take Flight" livery to promote the Dreamliner program. The aircraft was used by Boeing as a flight test, demonstration, and marketing platform, showcasing the 787-9's advanced composite structure, long range capability, and improved passenger comfort. N1015B participated in certification support, customer evaluation flights, and global demonstration tours, visiting airlines and airshows worldwide. Featuring large windows, lower cabin altitude, and advanced avionics, the aircraft highlighted the benefits of the stretched Dreamliner variant. N1015B played a key role in introducing the 787-9 to airline customers and the public before the type entered widespread commercial service.
Designed as a mid-sized, wide-body airliner and constructed out of mostly composite material, the 787 was first flown on December 15th, 2009. © Copyright 2003-2026 The Flying Mule, Inc.
