Airbus A340-541, serial number 554, entered service with Singapore Airlines as 9V-SGB. The aircraft formed part of the airline's specialized ultra long haul fleet and operated record setting nonstop routes linking Singapore with North America. Configured with a premium heavy cabin layout, the aircraft offered business class and executive economy seating designed for extended flights. Powered by Rolls Royce Trent 553 engines, the A340-500 delivered exceptional range and reliability for flights lasting more than 17 hours. 9V-SGB supported Singapore Airlines' pioneering nonstop services before the airline later replaced the type with more efficient next generation aircraft.
